June 23, 2006 - I am getting more concerned that, although I have my part of my latest research project finished, the delays in publication may mean we get scooped yet again...
June 3, 2006 - I am beginning to think that I won't ever get my degree completed. I looked back at my research notes, and it seems like most of my work is either scooped by other people, or I am asked to work on other projects before the previous ones are done. If it weren't for scooped papers and other delays, I would have twice as many publications now!
May 18, 2006 - My problems are getting bigger, and I don't know what to do about them. Never before have I been so close to dropping everything and forgetting about my research.
May 15, 2006 - It looks like after all the research and calculations I did on my latest project, I have been scooped again because I did too much extra work in my teaching job and didn't have enough time left for my research. (I should have listened to the head instructor when he warned all of the teaching assistants not to take on too much extra work).
