December 10,2007 - I have finally recovered from whatever that illness was. I couldn't even move for the last two weeks! Apparently it was some form of pneumonia...
October 23, 2007 - Once again I am forced to take a day off of work to meet with the lawyer about estate matters...
October 12, 2007 - My last day of work before heading up-island for my cousin's wedding. It should be an interesting event, with most of the extended family reuniting for the first time since last month...
October 11, 2007 - I just finished reviewing the requested revisions for my doctoral thesis, and once I get back from my trip I should be able to finish the revisions very soon.
October 1, 2007 - For those keeping track, I have now been waiting for my roofing contractor to come out and fix my parent's roof for six months. Every week it is a different excuse from these guys, so I am giving up on them and trying someone else now. And these guys were recommended by a large national hardware store whose spokesman is a famous TV handyman.
September 19, 2007 - I have been asked to be a pall-bearer for my grandfather today, and will be away for most of the day. (and for those keeping track, that is my fourth funeral this year)
September 15, 2007 - As a result of my grandfather passing away, his entire family is coming into Victoria this week. It will be the first time in 25 years that everyone has been together.
September 14, 2007 - My grandfather has passed away yesterday at the age of 90. I will be away from my desk and my computer for the next couple of weeks to deal everything.
September 5, 2007 - I am back on campus now, and starting my (hopefully) final year of graduate school.
August 25, 2007 - I have been hoping all summer to go camping and get away for a while, but it looks like that won't be happening now. Too much work to catch up on.
August 12, 2007 - I am always ahead of my time with technology. I saw an ad for Rogers wireless internet today, apparently using cell phone technology, and I couldn't help but mention that I suggested this idea at least five years ago. But I am just happy that it is finally a reality.
June 28, 2007 - I finally finished with the arrangements for my father's headstone. In all I spent over $7000 on his funeral and plot, and so I am hoping that very soon I can get that back from his estate...
June 19, 2007 - I just got back from visiting my grandfather in long-term care home. Tomorrow he will turn 90, and he is still singing and partying as well as ever!
June 13, 2007 - Now my great-aunt has passed away - that will be my third funeral this year.
May 20,2007 - I will be leaving work early today to attend a meeting with the family lawyer to review my father's will and estate.
