September 3,2010 - The long weekend is here! Time to relax after a very long week of work!

August 31, 2010 - Now I know someone above is out to get me. I had a new sofa delivered today and left in the yard. Yesterday was sunny and warm, tomorrow is going to be sunny and warm. Today was a torrential downpour of rain :(

August 20,2010 - My dictionary continues to be of use - I just got an email saying a graduate student would like to include it in their Masters thesis.

August 16, 2010 - I finished a beta version of my HexShift program, which takes two six-letter words and shifts one into the other one letter at a time. It can be downloaded on my Software page, but remember it is beta so it may be a little buggy still.

August 12, 2010 - Just a friendly reminder that tonight after about 10:00pm local time the meteor showers will be hitting and so there should be a good view. (Assuming of course that the clouds depart and the neighbouring lights aren't too bright)

August 2, 2010 - HAPPY B.C. DAY!!

July 26, 2010 - I normally ignore junk mail and spam text messages, but I had to laugh at one today. It was an offer for a service that manages appointments with my patients... (because I am technically a doctor)

July 9,2010 - There is a rumor circulating through physics groups that the Tevatron is about to announce the discovery of a Higgs boson. I know I say this a lot, but what a great time to be a physicist!

July 8, 2010 - Thanks to modern technology and Google StreetView, I can take a historic tour and never leave my office. Here is a short tour of my family roots in Scotland. (I also made tours of my neighbourhood, and my former employers/schools)

July 7,2010 - I have finally finished another version of my ChaosGame screensaver. This version adds in a full configuration panel.

July 2, 2010 - It is a beautiful day, I don't have to work - what shall I do first? UPDATE: I tried a round of golf - I should stick with robots instead.

July 1,2010  - HAPPY CANADA DAY!!

June 30, 2010 - I am really depressed tonight, in large part due to my extended family. I am supposed to be using these years to build my own life, but once again I am getting pulled into other people's problems!

June 29,2010 - I never realized how much my computer screen strained my eyes until I got my e-book reader. Now maybe I can read research papers more efficiently.
